Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development (SDOD)-Hospital, the Hospital Development Analyst (Administrative Officer 3) provides high-level programmatic, analytical, and research support of fundraising administration for UC Davis Health, Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations (HSDA). The incumbent monitors and analyzes program activity to determine donor and area fundraising strategy and provides support to SDOD in program development and activities. The Hospital Development Analyst generates high-level strategy briefing materials, proposals, presentations, and other development documents needed to support the SDOD - Hospital. The incumbent will lead and implement complex programs, events and/or communication strategies. The incumbent will also maintain internal systems for monitoring UC Davis Health-wide top donor prospect strategies for identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Hospital Development Analyst builds systems and practices to increase UC Davis-wide fundraising efficiency in major gift giving. This position works closely with all levels of UC Davis Health and UC Davis fundraising enterprise including leadership.REQUIRED- Advanced experience in the fund raising profession and of contemporary issues and methods of fundraising.- Experience participating in major fundraising efforts, ideally a major comprehensive campaign, in a college, university, health system, non-profit organization, or other large complex institution.- Demonstrated level of professional experience to support senior-level executives.- Advanced project management skills, including skills to plan and implement successful events, strategic planning and evaluation skills.- Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including skills to produce briefings and proposals; developing and delivering effective presentations; and creating reports and studies.- Advanced knowledge of practices and procedures associated with building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external constituencies. Political acumen skills are essential.- Experience in programmatic and analytical support at the executive level.- Advanced technical/computer skills to produce spreadsheets, reports, presentations, project calendars, correspondence and templates, including experience with Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.PREFERRED- Advanced knowledge of the Health System and campus vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements, issues of concern, and infrastructure.-Office management experience.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT- Must have access to reliable transportation and a valid California Driver's License. - Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work.
