University Health, Counseling & Disability Access Services
Nature of Work
This position is responsible for providing administrative and office support for Health, Counseling & Disability Access Services. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Front desk reception (greet office visitors, answer questions, schedule appointments, inform staff of patient arrivals, etc)
Clerical support for professional staff
Provide general information on unit services
Assist with collection and processing of student vaccination and health screening records
Scan clinical patient records into electronic record (including referrals, transferred medical records, releases of information, prescription refills, etc)
Coordinate electronic check ins for medical and counseling patients
Route crises and office visitors to appropriate provider
Assist with service fee collection and balancing daily accounts receivable
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Performs work with basic communication skills and an exchange of information
Professional appearance and demeanor required, as well as ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
A high school diploma and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Good telephone and computer skills (with basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with office visitors, other campus personnel, and staff.
At least two years of responsible office experience is necessary.
