The Department of Psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology to begin August 15, 2018. We are seeking a faculty colleague with potential for excellence in clinically-relevant research that complements current faculty interests. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to increasing diversity in higher education, clinical training, and/or research. The ideal candidate will participate in the department's mission to incorporate diversity and multiculturalism into clinical research and training, increase access to higher education for underserved groups, and provide high-quality mentoring to a diverse group of students.
Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a record of publication, seek and secure external funding as needed for sustained research productivity, teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses (2:2 load), contribute to the APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology through clinical and research mentorship, and provide service commesurate with the Assistant Professor rank.
