The University of Iowa's Chief Diversity Office is seeking a qualified candidate for their Center for Diversity & Enrichment's (CDE) TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program. The position of Educational Support Services Specialist (working title Student Success Coach) will be responsible for the coordination of student support services to promote the educational development, success, and retention of the students served by the CDE, with a focus on the 350 students served specifically by the TRIO SSS program.

The person selected for this position will work directly with students, providing support and informational and educational outreach programs and workshops, as well as teach an introductory college transition course. A special component of the grant provides workshops to the program's first-generation students and their parents, with an emphasis on coaching and advising on a number of academic and personal topics.
