The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the full cycle of talent acquisition activities for various staff positions including, sourcing, interviewing, and selection of non-exempt and exempt staff for Babson College. They will collaborate with the Manager of Talent Acquisition in other aspects of Employment functions including Diversity and Inclusion, advertising strategies, applicant tracking systems and pre-screening requirements. They will also have responsibility for oversight and management of the Student Employment process.
• Administers the recruitment process for assigned requisitions including interviewing and selecting non-exempt and exempt staff; working with hiring managers to ensure compliance with Federal and State Laws and College policies during the hiring process; and collaborating with hiring managers to determine recruitment strategies including position specific behavioral interview questions, external advertising sites and interview logistics. • Determines and utilizes social media in developing recruitment strategies. • Collaborates with hiring managers to ensure a positive communication, interview and follow up experience for candidates. • Confirms applicant pools are adequate, qualified, and diverse. In coordination with the Manager, Talent Acquisition, coordinates the diversity and inclusion recruitment advertising strategies. Develops diversity and inclusion recruitment sources beyond the traditional sources which includes: determining appropriate sources; providing related data on applicant pool; and identifying trends and making suggestions. • Processes the background checks for all faculty, staff, and temporary hires including submission to the vendor and determining employment eligibility based on the report. Consults with the Manager of Talent Acquisition, Director of Public Safety and Director of Risk Management as needed. • Works with the Budget Office and Compensation team to create requisitions in the HRIS (Workday) and confirm funding sources for all requisitions, offers, signing bonuses, etc. • Acts as the liaison for faculty postings in the Applicant Tracking System, PeopleAdmin, working closely with the Dean of Faculty's office and academic divisions which includes: creating and updating the external faculty postings on PeopleAdmin; creating user accounts; and providing trainings to Division Coordinators, Division Chairs, and Search Chairs as needed. • Participates in developing the employment advertising brand and strategy with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to advance the College's positioning, values and goals. • Responsible for reference checks; makes employment recommendations based on information developed through interviews, reference checks, applications, and resumes. • Acts as the back-up for securing temporary and seasonal help including agency outreach, hiring, and documentation, within all departments and divisions of the college. • Oversees the Student Employment program. Works with the Employment Specialist to confirm timely and accurate entry of forms, communications, handbook updates, and advertising. In consultation with the Talent Acquisition Manager, works with student supervisors on performance issues and disciplinary procedures. • Manages various employment projects as assigned. • Participates in college committees such as the Diversity and Inclusion committee, Recruiting and Retention subcommittee, etc. • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements: • At least 6-8 years of increasingly responsible experience managing the full cycle of the employment process • Ability to develop creative approaches to staffing needs, utilizing multiple platforms including technology based solutions • Ability to design talent acquisition protocols and exhibit superior technique in behavioral interviewing and selection processes • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and ability to apply principles appropriately • Demonstrated prior experience in the use and benefit of all aspects of an ATS • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication and client focus skills • Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies • Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought and Action, (ET&A); take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. • Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions. • Exceptional HR Technology and Microsoft Office Skills
Additional Experience, Skills & Abilities: • Prior successful Human Resource administration experience working in a non-profit or higher education environment or experience in technical staffing preferred.
