This position exists to protect University researchers and clinicians interested in working with commercial partners to further research on clinical trials. As a Contracts Specialist this person interacts with faculty and outside entities such as pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations to analyze contract terms, provide risk assessment for the University and promote conformity in contractual agreements relating to University of Nebraska Medical Center research. Within UNeHealth, this person is primarily responsible for drafting and negotiating industry sponsored clinical trials contracts, associated confidentiality agreements and s, monitoring the status of these agreements during negotiations, maintaining regular contact with departmental administrators, legal counsel and the Institutional Review Board on compliance issues to ensure compliance with University policies and access risk of contracting terms to the University.
