Arts and Science is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join the Department of Institutional Research. This individual will manage ties between local area network databases and mainframe databases; analyze, develop and maintain client/server information systems for FAS; develop and maintain existing applications in the client/server environment.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree and
Required Experience: 3 years' professional level experience including development of client/server systems or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with development of applications on a relational database management systems, programming, and troubleshooting problems.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent analytical, written and oral communicaiton skills. Ability to work with users to identify problems and develop solutions. Must include programming experience with Oracle, Sybase, DB-2, SQL Server, and/or Microsoft Access. Knowledge of Microsoft Basic from either Visual Basic or Word/Excel/Access Basic.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Windows NT or 2000 Server and Microsoft IIS.
