This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) The Salt Lake County Behavioral Network Director develops the provider network (physicians, provider groups and hospitals) yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Network Directors evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with Hospital, Physicians and Providers and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties. Position supports the Optum Salt Lake County Medicaid Behavioral Health Plan and is accountable for provider relations, recruitment and contracting. Additional responsibilities include handling escalated provider issues including, provider portal engagement and provider education. Primary Responsibilities: Set team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to members of own team May oversee work activities of other supervisors Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges Influence or provide input to forecasting and planning activities
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 5+ years' experience in a network management - related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results 5+ years of experience working with State Medicaid Programs 5+ years' experience in the health care industry 2+ years' experience managing a medical cost and administrative budget 2+ years' experience with provider contracting 1+ years of supervisory experiencePreferred Qualifications: Experience with Salt Lake County Medicaid ProgramCareers with Optum.
