Summary of Job Function: Provides exceptional service to our referring physicians and their patients, while assisting them with access to diagnostic services at a Barnabas Health Facility or Shrewsbury Diagnostic Imaging location. This includes, but is not limited to; coordination with the scheduling department, Link, Financial Clearance Center, verification of insurance eligibility, precertification and notification of a scheduled procedure. Complete the pre-registration and financial clearance for STAT cases. Coordinate the pre-authorization process with the on-site IP/ED Navigators, to ensure pre-certification is obtained prior to date of service.
Job Requirements: Successful completion of department specific orientation. High School diploma or equivalent; accuracy in detailed work required; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and organizational skills required; must maintain a professional demeanor; and must display a proven analytical capability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Prior Authorization/insurance verification, registration, or patient accounting experience required
