Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
The Telepsychiatry Program is seeking a program coordinator to support daily operations and ensure successful implementation of telepsychiatry initiatives. Our department provides telepsychiatry services using two-way, live, interactive videoconferencing to inpatient and outpatient settings throughout New York state. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in applying their skills to support innovative technology to improve healthcare delivery. The program coordinator is responsible for supporting all program activities, including development and promotion, data analysis, logistics, and other supportive functions. The program coordinator will report directly to the Director of Telepsychiatry. The coordinator, working in close alignment with the Director of Clinical Administration (DCA), will also be responsible for the project management of telepsychiatry, and planning and coordinating program milestones, as needed, under general supervision.
Program Support: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support telepsychiatry projects and serve as the point of contact for these initiatives
Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, information technology, legal, finance, compliance, and marketing to achieve program goals
Schedule and conduct regular meetings with key personnel to promote the program
Provide support in the preparation, analysis, and delivery of telepsychiatry related material
Ensure program compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements
Identify outreach priorities and research and track contacts
Assist in program workflow design
Reports: Prepare and review documents independently
Assist with program data collection activities in an efficient and timely manner, including tracking telepsychiatry visit volumes and outcomes reporting
Coordinate and communicate program activities to relevant stakeholders
Verify, interpret, and analyze information; determine report format; identify discrepancies; and make corrections as needed
Identify and resolve problems or challenges, respond to requests for information, and summarize data compiled from various sources
Understand and effectively communicate results of reports
Create organized mission specific reports
Data Analytics: Support the development of operating and project budgets
Analyze financial data and create accurate reports to meet monthly deadlines
Work with the DCA to develop performance metrics
Identify opportunities for improving process flow, maintenance, and data integrity
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year of experience in telehealth services Excellent technical and computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and to work independently and collaboratively with a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Sensitivity to confidentiality and adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Ability to demonstrate initiative for taking on new tasks or responsibilities Ability to think creatively and suggest alternative and innovative solutions to challenges
