The Talent Coordinator is an internal consulting role responsible for collaborating with colleagues, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and hiring managers to determine College wide approach and standards in the talent management space. The Coordinator will own the Talent Management System, processes, future roadmap & user experience, and manage the related external vendor and consulting relationships. The outputs of the Coordinator’s work should support the creation of deeper bench strength for the College holistically and a pipeline of talent for College needs, ensuring succession management plans and strategies are in place to maintain healthy talent pipelines to meet current and future business needs. The Coordinator will accomplish these goals by researching and advising on best practice in the talent management space, including succession planning, sourcing diverse candidates, talent identification, talent reviews, assessments, and/or support the acquisition of tools, resources, and technology to support the College’s talent strategy. This role also will provide consulting support on specific talent requests, particularly as it relates to diversity. The Talent Coordinator also will provide insights to the hiring managers to support their creation of employee development solutions. The Talent Coordinator will partner with various College personnel to anticipate and meet the recruiting needs of the College and to insure a fair and equitable search process. The Coordinator will manage the full cycle employment process according to Massasoit Community College policy. The role reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs of the College.
Work closely with hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans and to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
Responsible for maintaining the on-line application management system, Interview Exchange.
Discuss job requirements and job qualifications with managers prior to posting position.
Attract applicants by placing job advertisements in applicable on-line recruitment sites, applicable career journals and other recruiting sites and attending job fairs and other direct recruiting.
Determine candidate’s qualifications by verifying references, and academic degree.
Improve College’s recruitment and retention process by recommending new policies and procedures.
Arrange for interviews and testing, and review interview questions for accuracy as it pertains to the essential functions of the job with the Search Chair.
Enhance, develop, and facilitate the Online Search Committee Training (OSCT) prior to serving on a search committee and track to insure compliance.
Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs.
Establish and maintain monthly employment related statistics to include diversity recruitment, minority hires, search committee compliance, days to fill, and exit interview information.
Work with Director of Human Resources on determining salary, and make job offer to chosen candidate.
Partner with hiring manager to create/update Non-Unit Professional Job Descriptions accordingly prior to posting.
Send offer letters to chosen candidate, and coordinate the new employee orientation program.
Attend job fairs and attend conferences to disseminate information concerning possible job openings and career opportunities at the College.
Work closely with Office of Diversity & Inclusion to insure recruitment efforts for a diverse candidate pool.
Track and report recruitment budget expenditures to Vice President of Human Resources monthly.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a comparable degree from an accredited college or university required, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.
Three to five years’ of staffing/recruitment experience, strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level and higher.
Familiar with Interview Exchange or other on-line applicant management software.
Have and maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Must be able to effectively present information, including to the Board of Trustees, and respond to questions from applicants and managers/supervisors.
The incumbent must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications; and have an aptitude with learning new technologies.
Candidate will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills and detail orientated able to meet tight deadlines.
Maintain strict confidentiality with all employee/applicant information and any other sensitive/confidential information you come in contact with while performing assigned duties.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Full time non-unit professional position
