The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Molecular Neuro-oncology. The Research Assistant will use basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques to assist in microscopy and molecular biology experiments. Will assist postdocs in experiments such as PCR, molecular cloning, HITS-CLIP, immunofluorescence, FISH and Western blots. Will also assist in mouse experiments using IF, perfusions and genotyping.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in life sciences, molecular biology or biochemistry, preferred. Background knowledge of molecular biology and genetics desired. Basic knowledge of laboratory practice along with an ability to give full attention to experiments and keep accurate and accessible records is essential.
