The Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the Missouri State University (MSU) site of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a non-tenure-track, 12-month faculty position. Candidates with expertise in Ambulatory Care are especially encouraged to apply. This faculty position at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor rank will support the educational and the patient care missions of the UMKC School of Pharmacy and Mercy/Missouri State University's MSU Care Clinic in Springfield, Missouri.
The candidate will be responsible for providing education and pharmacy patient care services. They will practice under a collaborative practice agreement (CPA) as a member of an interprofessional care team in a multidisciplinary teaching clinic. The clinic provides care for uninsured adults who are not eligible for Medicaid or Medicare and have a family income equal to or less than 150 percent of the federal poverty level. Clinical responsibilities will involve leading students in the provision of innovative ambulatory care pharmacy services as a member of an interprofessional team to ensure rational and safe drug therapy . Duties will include precepting pharmacy students and engaging in interprofessional education and practice, managing patients with chronic diseases per CPA to improve patient outcomes, patient medication and wellness education, and medication adherence and reconciliation activities. Academic responsibilities include didactic lecturing, provision of interprofessional and experiential education, skills based assessment, student advisement, elective course instruction and/or development, and pharmacy resident mentoring. The successful candidate will contribute to the creative and scholarly pursuits of the Division. Service to the division, school, university, and profession are expected through participation in faculty meetings, service on School committees, and participation in state and national professional organizations. Candidates must be energetic and enthusiastic; possess a collegial approach to their work and be capable of working across health care disciplines. They must also possess a passion for interprofessional practice and education and a desire to produce scholarly works.

The MSU Care Clinic is a collaborative effort between MSU and Mercy Health. Located in the O'Reilly Clinical Health Sciences Center on the MSU campus, the clinic features ten exam rooms and serve an estimated 2,000 patients each year.
