Note: Job salary offers are generally made between the salary range minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
To develop and implement new programs in support of the entrepreneurial and business development activities of the department and to manage the marketing and operations of the University's Innovation Park.
Plan, develop, and implement new programs driving entrepreneurial and business development, including outreach to faculty, students, and staff, cultivating relationships with angel, pre-seed, seed, and venture capital organizations
Plan, develop and implement new programs of internal investment in University innovations and inventions with the aim of advancing the technology to a point where it is more attractive to external licensees, or more attractive to venture capitalist investment, rendering the innovation/technology a stronger basis for formation of a University start-up company.
Develop and provide advice and assistance to University senior administration on issues related to entrepreneurial development. Educate internal University and external businesses and governmental audiences about issues related to University entrepreneurial development
Assist faculty, staff and students in establishing start-up companies related to University innovations and intellectual property. Provide advice and guidance to faculty, staff and students related to decisions whether to form start-up companies around their innovations and inventions.
Provide in-depth counseling for businesses in the region.
Perform special projects and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Master's degree in business, marketing or related field
5 years' experience in business development including implementation of innovative business programs in an academic environment.
Experience in Lean Launch Pad concepts.
Demonstrated experience in commercialization of technology based products or businesses.
