Scotland Memorial Hospital, located in Laurinburg, North Carolina, began in 1946 in the medical facilities of the deactivated Laurinburg/Maxton Air Base. Since then, the hospital has evolved into a very successful health care system, serving a 3-county region with a 104 bed hospital, a nursing home, hospice, urgent care center, and over 30 employed physicians and providers in nearly 10 different practices.
In 2009, Scotland's Board of Trustees, its physicians and administrative leaders selected Carolinas HealthCare System, to be its managing partner. For the past two years, Scotland Memorial Hospital has finished in the top quartile of CHS hospitals in both quality and financial pillars. The hospital has received the top Value-Based Purchasing reimbursement within CHS.
The VP of Patient Care Services/Chief Nurse Executive will report to the Senior Vice President Operations and will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and services provided in Nursing Services and has overall responsibility for all nursing care and service in the organization.
RN degree required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred;
licensed in the State of North Carolina or multistate by the Board of Nursing; National Certification in Nursing Administration preferred;
three to five years healthcare management at senior level;
proficient in Microsoft package including Word, Excel, Access;
demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach to problem solving are required to be successful; organizational skills are a must; must be able to communicate with other departments and staff in an articulate manner.
