The Administrative Associate II, under general supervision, provides routine administrative support work. Responsibilities:
-MAINTAINS: Maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains office reference materials including online office materials. May deliver, pick up, or receive cash payments, documents, supplies, equipment, or materials.
-ASSISTS: Assists with accessibility tasks such as document clean-up, HTML coding, PDF review
-MAY: May serve as a liaison for departmental equipment and service contracts. May participate in the hiring training, and supervision of student workers and other support staff.
-MAKES: Makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel.
-APPLIES: Applies, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures and serves as a resource for answering questions regarding policies.
-GREETS: Greets visitors, answers and screens calls, provides information and referrals, and schedules appointments. Receives, sorts, and routes mail and performs other mail services.
-PERFORMS: Performs word processing, desktop publishing, presentation, and data management activities, and assists staff with the use of these applications. Composes correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations, including editing and proofreading.
-REPORTS: For various systems including but not limited to Atomic Learning, D2L, Canopy, etc.
-CREATES: Communications for training offered by the department.This includes e-mails to list serve and posts to department blog regarding events.
-POST: Posts information to agency records and modifies forms or records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, and other documents.
Education and Experience: -High School diploma or GED.
PREFERRED: Degree Preferred. -Plus two years of related experience.
PERFERRED: Prior experience in higher education. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
PREFERRED: Knowledge of FAMIS, Concur and Texas A&M University-Commerce, policies and procedures.
