Position will support participant data entry, recruitment, and retention and data collection for a several research studies. The Research Data Assistant will work with the Research Project Coordinator in preparing documentation for data collection, organizing participant visits at the Pro-Health Center at study screening, baseline and follow-up visits. Perform data entry for several studies, and perform related project tasks.
Specific duties & responsibilities:
Documentation for Data Collection:
Collection of questionnaires/assessment and direct entry into an ACCESS study database.
follow-up data collection and telephone assessments
Provide data entry regarding participant information
Ensure security and confidentiality of data
Participant Data Collection:
Establish and maintain working relationship with all ProHealth Staff
Conduct participant consent procedures
Conduct participant interviews based on study protocols
Administer data collection tools, including questionnaires and cognitive problem-solving tests
Administer telephone assessments
Make confirmation calls to participants
Schedule data collection visits
Implement follow-up protocol for hard to reach participants and no-shows
Related Project Tasks
Participate in staff meetings
Assist project coordinator as necessary regarding typing, filing, faxing, mass mailings, chart review, and literature searches
Will be cross-trained for other project tasks and support as necessary
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly manner and team work ethnic
Initiative, ability to work independently
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel, Access
Minimum qualifications (mandatory):
High School Diploma/GED. Some work experience.
Some college classes' preferred but appropriate experience may substitute for college credits.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have initiative, excellent verbal communications skills, good organizational skills, a friendly manner and team work ethic. Experience with interviewing. Health related experience and experience in a research setting required. Availability on some Saturdays also required for participant visits at Pro-Health.
