Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Scheduling, Catalog and Faculty Services, the Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the production and publication of UMBC’s Undergraduate Catalog. Specific duties include: overseeing all aspects of the development and maintenance of accurate course data, such as course prerequisites, co-requisites, and reserved seating capacities in Peoplesoft Campus Solutions; coordinating ongoing and annual updates to course, academic program and policy information in the online Undergraduate Catalog using Accalog; coordinating and facilitating the use of Curriculog to develop and maintain workflow systems for the approval of new or updated courses and academic programs; working closely with the Associate Registrar in developing business documentation and best practices to support faculty and staff in using online tools to support catalog, scheduling, system access, enrollment and class management; supervising a program specialist; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in higher education.
Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions and/or Accalog/Curriculog or similar background with an aptitude for learning new software systems
Excellent attention to detail
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with colleagues
