The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a part-time licensed MRI Technician for its Small and Large Animal Diagnostic imagining unit. The incumbent will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures for interpretation by Veterinary Radiologist, positioning patients for exam to ensure quality imaging, safety, and accessibility for vital monitoring and IV's. Position will assist Veterinary nurses with intubation, IV, premeds and proper restraint when needed. Successful candidate will coordinate large and small animal general anesthesia procedures and review requisition with clinician/radiologist for proper procedure. Position will archive completed studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PAC) and will scan and review data on disks. Daily quality assurance will occur as well as the instruction of Medical Residents. Position will assist with radiographic and ultrasound procedures as necessary.
