Program Coordinator - Student Conduct & Community Standards

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards, the Coordinator for Student Conduct will manage assigned day-to-day operations of the student conduct system for academic and non-academic allegations of violations of the Student Code of Conduct and the administration of the processes thereof. Receives, evaluates, investigates, and adjudicates referrals and allegations of violations of the Student Code of Conduct. Proactively administers the student conduct process to ensure positive learning outcomes while ensuring established policies, processes, procedures and standards are met. Conducts regular follow-up with students. Assists with the administration of various aspects of the department.
Serves as a conduct officer in non-academic conduct cases and provides other assistance as needed.
Assists with training and education of campus community regarding student rights and responsibilities under the Student Code of Conduct.
Assists Director and Assistant Director with outreach, training, and educational workshops to all campus constituency groups regarding policies, procedures and best practices in student conduct.
Maintains records and files of student conduct cases in adherence to University policies and procedures and state and federal laws.
Maintains confidentiality when dealing with students and student records.
Recommends updates and revisions to the policies and procedures within the Student Code of Conduct
Provides input in developing department goals, strategies, operations, and processes to enhance student learning and maintaining a civil and just campus climate.
Represents the department at meetings, events, and on committees as needed and/or appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of student development theory, student conduct professional standards, and Title IX, Clery, VAWA and other areas of compliance a plus. Knowledge of applicable University policies, procedures, and practices and applicable federal regulations as well as familiarity with Maxient database management system.
Ability to interpret and correctly apply University policies and procedures.
Ability to analyze problems and determine appropriate solutions
Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administration.
Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse, higher education environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- five (5) years experience. Experience must be in program coordination.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
