Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)-Car-T cellClinical Research
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Car-T cell Clinical Research. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 500 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families.
You will: *Collaborate with designated physicians and research team members (consisting of the principle investigators, Research Study Assistants, Data Managers and Nursing Staff) to develop and conduct clinical trials *Participate in the institutional review process, including the in writing/reviewing protocols *Screen patients for protocols, determining patient's eligibility, participate in the informed consent process and provide education for patients considering enrollment or enrolled on a clinical trial *Clinical responsibilities include monitoring toxicities, assessing clinical responses and providing exemplary patient care while ensuring the protocol is conducted in a high quality manner in in-patient and out-patient settings
The ideal candidate is:
*Has Acute Care and Car-T cell experience *Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders *Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently *An effective communicator *Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people *Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are: *Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations *Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) *3+ years of related clinical experience *Related National NP certification *BLS/ ACLS certification
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are: *Graduate from an accredited PA program *NCCPA certification *Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure *A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred *BLS/ACLS certification
Hours: 10 hour days flexed Monday through Friday
