Advancement Associate for the College of Engineering assists gift officers in fundraising initiatives such as strategic planning, project management, data organization and reporting. This position must exercise discretion with confidential issues, yet be able to communicate initiatives as they pertain to advancement activities.
- Experience providing administrative support in an academic or professional office environment. - Strong computer skills with working knowledge of a variety of software such as word processing, spreadsheets and scheduling software. - Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills and a definitive willingness to help manage donors and the systemic stewardship programs of the advancement team. - Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines; work independently and as a member of a team; handle confidential material; and have a positive demeanor and use good problem solving skills.
- Specialized knowledge of fundraising, prospect management, and alumni relations. - Experience utilizing university financial systems, such as Banner finance. - Experience with travel arrangements and reimbursement. - Experience with event planning/coordination.
