Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Civic Engagement will serve a strategic leadership role in the Office of Student Affairs at Yale Divinity School (YDS), building upon and expanding current diversity initiatives while developing Programs and resources to foster greater inclusion and equity within the YDS community. The Director will facilitate programs and provide resources to foster an inclusive campus climate, develop multicultural competencies, and advocate and empower social and restorative justice practices. The incumbent will also liaise with other Yale University diversity offices and cultural centers to foster develop an integrated network of academic and social support for students of color at Yale Divinity School. The Director will also have significant responsibilities in cultivating relationships with local community constituents, leaders and organizations, and in developing initiatives to engage the YDS community in ethical practices of civic engagement, advocacy, and organizing.

Required Skill/ability 4: Extensive ability in program development, resource creation, strategic planning, and workshop facilitation for diversity and inclusion initiatives within academic communities.
Required Skill/ability 5: Knowledge of and demonstrated ability working within divinity school and/or ecclesial communities.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: M.Div, MAR, or MA in related field. Prior experience serving as Director of Diversity or Chief Diversity Officer in academic setting. Experience developing and leading workshops on Diversity, Inclusion and Civic Engagement; and technological fluency in breadth of social media, presentation, survey, and multimedia platforms.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and five years of experience in admissions, registration, placement, financial aid, student counseling or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
