The Dean of Counseling, Advising & Transfer Center reports to the Associate Vice President of Student Development and is responsible for providing administrative oversight of the Counseling, Advising and New Student Programs, Behavioral Health Services, and the Disability Services office. The Dean provides vision and leadership to support the development of programs and practices to address academic, career and support development, and disability needs of students. The Dean will work with student development staff as well as the academic deans and other educational affairs staff on academic and career advisement, transfer/articulation, and retention issues, support AQIP projects as appropriate and maintain positive and cooperative relations between the Counseling, Advisement and Transfer Center, Behavioral Health Services, Disability Services office and other college departments and units. The Dean also serves as the state-wide Transfer Coordinator for the College.

•Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology with licensure in Illinois at the time of hiring.
•Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative or management experience in a related field with demonstrated commitment to evidence based practices.
•Prior work experience with students of various social, economic, racial, ethnic, gender and disability backgrounds.
•Strong project management and decision making skills.
•Demonstrated customer service skills.
