The Student Services Assistant will support the Assistant Dean for Student Services of the School of Professional & Extended Studies to ensure high quality and efficient services are provided to SPExS students, families, partners, and other university stakeholders. This individual will provide support and assistance in areas related to the management and processes of event planning and space scheduling, housing/dining services, and student/partner billing. The Student Services Assistant will also provide guidance and support to SPExS students in organizing events and activities throughout each fall and spring semester. This individual will be responsible for communicating with current students via social media and will assist with Virtual Pre-Arrival Sessions for new students. The Student Services Assistant will be responsible for coordinating end of semester processes associated with Certificates of Completion and Transcript Requests. This individual will also play a major role in Orientation planning as well as Closing Reception events for the school.
The Administrative Assistant must be flexible and willing to vary the working hours within the work week when needed. This individual must be able to handle multiple and competing priorities, as well as be adaptable to a constantly changing environment, student and faculty population.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of administrative support experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills
Flexibility and ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure, and constantly changing environment
Experience working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, spreadsheets, PowerPoint software and Internet research experience
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
