Assistant to the Head of School & Registrar (Maternity Leave)
The Assistant to the Head of School & Registrar is responsible for administrative support of the Head of School, the Board of Trustees, and the broader school community. This position reports to the Head of School. This interim position will start April 1st.
Assist the Head of School by managing a busy calendar and liaising with the parent body, faculty, staff and wider BDS community; plan, coordinate and assist with school wide events in collaboration with other departments; take meeting minutes as a member of the admin, operations and calendar teams.
Support the work of the Board of Trustee by planning board meetings; organize trustee events, assist with preparations of materials and send communications to BDS community on behalf of the board.
As Registrar, manage the electronic mailings of student reports, summer mailings, re-enrollment contracts to families; assist with the management of the student information database; assist with the preparation of the new school calendar; manage applying out process for Pre-K through Grade 7.
Support the School by booking meeting/event spaces; maintaining copiers, buying supplies, contribute to school duties; assist with job searches
Individually and as a member of the Administrative Team, assist faculty and parents as needed in their various projects and events and act as an ambassador of the Head’s Office.
Exceptional technology competency using google docs on a mac platform, MS office suite, publishing software and database programs, Filemaker experience a plus.
