Summary of Duties: In support of Administrative Services Information Systems (ASIS) and its customers, perform consulting, analyzing, programming, testing, maintenance, installation and/or technical support of application system solutions to meet business and customer service needs.
This position exercises broadly defined discretion and independent judgement to accomplish duties and responsibilities to advance web and information solutions, using adaptive reasoning, programming knowledge and technical expertise at journey level or higher to accomplish broadly defined tasks and to meet system requirements. Performs tasks such as:
Consulting with customers to identify and analyze technology needs and problems
Independently analyzing problems for applications and solving problems
Designing, developing, deploying, maintaining, improving and supporting primarily C# .NET web-based software applications through the entire software development lifecycle
Designing, managing, and/or interfacing with databases and other backend systems
Supporting electronic commerce functions
Conducting unit, system or usability testing
Writing specifications and developing reports
Developing and conducting application, software and/or system operation training for users
Responding to and resolving trouble reports from users
Position is responsible for business applications used University-wide, and will manage multiple project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Strong customer service, advocacy and education skills are a must.
Required Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelors degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
