MSK is seeking a Software Developer to join our Information Systems Team. The Software Developer will be responsible for system analysis, design, programming, testing, integration, implementation and documentation for all phases of systems development projects; supports new applications and ensures the successful operation of existing applications.

Experienced as a software developer and who understand object-oriented programming, service-oriented architectures, and other concepts central to developing robust, scalable, distributed applications
Knowledgeable of Caché or able to learn to program with InterSystems Caché
Experienced in the Healthcare industry
Strong in integration projects with healthcare-specific standards (HL7, CCD, C-CDA, X12, etc.)
Willing to build your expertise in working with Intersystems HealthShare, Ensemble, and Caché
Participate in full development life cycle of a project including analysis, design, programming, implementation and support
Work with product companies and consulting vendors in implementing, maintaining, and customizing MSK's health information exchange
Normally receive general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
Provide occasional support to systems and projects during off-hours
Develop programs that may interface with other applications/databases, to meet complex business requirements.
Be responsible for full development life cycle of a project including analysis, design, programming, implementation and support
Analyze functional requirements, systems architecture and applications on assigned projects
Plan and coordinate the implementation of new systems, enhancements and/or upgrades to current systems.
Design program and technical specifications for various applications that may include data flow, data storage, interface design, and system architecture, on assigned projects
Define test cases; prepares data and scripts for testing
Produce required functional, technical, and user documentation (e.g., business requirements, functional and technical specifications, system architecture, data flows, end-users training requirements) on assigned projects
Resolve production problems; support, maintain, and enhance assigned systems
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
2 years experience as a programmer with full understanding of area of specialization
