We are seeking a Senior Research Technician with outstanding communication skills to work in the Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory on population and hospital-based studies related to the identification of host and tumor characteristics that affect cancer risk and progression of the disease. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced technician looking for a position with room for growth.
Handle existing and incoming study specimens
Experimental design and testing (e.g., DNA extraction, genotyping, ELISA)
Quality control processes
Search literature and retrieval of information from web-based sources
Conduct general laboratory maintenance including monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and preparing reagents
You need :
Bachelor's with 3+ years of related experience or Master's with at least 1 year of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience testing nucleic acids and handling human specimens strongly preferred
Please Note: This position requires work with human biological specimens and with chemicals.
