TheNational Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking an experienced director who will take on the development, management, and execution of key programs and services with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and scope. The ideal candidate will also help the NAM evolve its service offerings, especially to the small and medium-sized manufacturers, to deliver more explicit value to those members. This position requires an organized, flexible self-starter who is highly detail-oriented and can multi-task and manage projects. The position represents the NAM at all levels both internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. This position reports to the Vice President of Member & Business Services.

· Working in partnership with the Vice President of Member & Business Services develop outstanding member products/services. Plan and execute various components needed to exceed our members’ and sponsors’ expectations around our VIP events
· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution
· Assist in the definition of project scopes and objectives, as well as repeatable agreed-upon processes, involving all relevant stakeholders. Critical aspects of such processes will include:
o Ensuring resource availability and allocation
o Developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
o Informing internal stakeholders and gaining additional approvals when necessary
o Managing changes to program scope, schedule, and/or costs
o Measure and report on program performance using appropriate tools and techniques i.e. agreed upon metrics.
Report and escalate to management as needed
Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Proven working experience in project management
Demonstrated success in developing and managing relationships with corporate partners, internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to develop, document and manage multi-step and interdepartmental processes to deliver repeatable and scalable results.
A proven track record planning and executing multiple events nationwide
A general understanding of modern business issues impacting manufacturing and the corresponding vocabulary
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Minimum six years of administrative/project management work experience required
