The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis has a faculty position available within the Division of Imaging Sciences. The successful candidate will support the missions of the IU Center for Neuroimaging and the NIH-sponsored Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center and relate programs. Specific bioinformatics expertise in advanced data mining and deep learning analysis of multi-modal neuroimaging MRI and PET data in combination with genomics, proteomic and metabolomics data sets are particularly sought for this position. This is a research track position with rank determined on the basis of experience and qualifications.
The individual in this position will work with department faculty to facilitate the development of large, multidisciplinary proposals. Activities will include the identification of research opportunities, development of scientific methods, preparation of grant applications, and generation of scientific publications describing the results of departmental research. The successful candidate for this position is expected to collaborate with other faculty from multiple disciplines within the department and beyond. The candidate will have access to all of the research resources within the department and will be expected to contribute to the overall programmatic goals for the research programs maintained by the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences.
A PhD degree in a relevant medical science field and experience in research study design, data analysis, and the preparation and review of Federal and Foundation grant applications is preferred.
