AISNE is looking for a Director of Professional Development to design conferences that build community and inspire progress in our schools. This role is ideal for someone who can spot a good story, navigate across various networks and bring ideas to life.
This role is an opportunity to bring new vision to a well-respected organization serving independent schools. The position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with colleagues on staff to deliver high-quality programs and services to the AISNE membership.
Stay abreast of the latest challenges and opportunities within independent education and develop content-rich, responsive conferences.
Identify, cultivate and recruit speakers for professional development programs.
Evaluate and implement new platforms and channels for professional learning.
Envision new ways for AISNE schools to access learning and development.
Track budgets to meet financial goals.
Work collaboratively with volunteer committees as needed.
Serve as an AISNE ambassador at events.
A successful candidate will possess:
A minimum of seven years’ experience in education, preferably independent education.
An understanding of the different professional development needs within independent schools
An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
Classroom and/or group facilitation experience.
A collaborative working style.
Comfort with public speaking.
Experience in negotiating with vendors.
Curiosity about new tools and technologies to enhance AISNE’s program.
