The Michael G. Foster School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager of Program Operations.
Lead team meetings and individual 1:1 meetings to provide open communication, discuss future planning, and manage accountabilities
Supervise three building coordinators (and several students), coordinating and assigning work and project deadlines.
*Interviews, hires, and supervises classified and hourly staff. Mediates corrective action when necessary. Ensures appropriate coverage of staff to fulfill goals of the Foster School. Provides effective training to new employees.
*Organizes, prioritizes, directs and delegates workload to staff. Communicates effectively with staff to ensure positive results. Reviews work in progress and completed tasks - serves as a resource to assist in successful completion of assignments.
*Sets goals for staff and monitors workflows and turn-around times. Investigates where inefficiencies lie and works to correct them to improve processes and overall level of customer service.
*Leads by example in maintaining customer relations and providing information concerning Foster School operations and guidelines. Reinforces the Facilities Office as a central point of contact for inquiries, clairification, and resolution of all facilities related matters.
*Coordinates facilities and supply purchases among staff, which requires a thorough understanding of UW administrative systems, UW purchasing policies, and the separation of duties pertinent to internal fiscal controls.
Independently and proactively make decisions, handle sensitive issues with diplomacy, and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee and facilititate facilities scheduling, safety, security, space planning, maintence, move requests, purchasing, etc.
Manage the facilities budget, using thoughtful planning and judgement to forecast needs and project execution to meet budget target.
Monitor Foster building, utilities, and systems to ensure normal function and operation.
Troubleshoot emergencies, maintenance, and repair needs as necessary to meet the standards of the Foster School.
Design and implement new policies, and changes to existing policies in an effort to promote a more effective and efficient work environment.
Establish and maintain customer service standards with a commitment to service excellence.
Promote and contribute to the development of strong working relationships between the Facilities team and Foster departments, programs, centers, and central offices at the UW.
Disseminate information to the school in a consistent and thorough manner. Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences through strong written and verbal communciation skills.
Maintain and create documentation on procedures; publishing them on the Foster School intranet.
All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Finance and Facilities.

Bachelors degree in Business or other related areas
5-7 years relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
A minimum of 2 years of managerial experience (supervising, assigning work, troubleshooting issues)
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
Experience in an academic and office setting with a strong fundamental working knowledge of facilities management.
Understanding of UW policies and procedures.
