MS in chemistry or in an allied discipline, at least one year of experience as a stockroom assistant or manager at an academia institution. One year experience teaching introductory chemistry labs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Consult with lead faculty or lab coordinators about planned experiments before each semester in which the actual instruction will take place. 2. Maintain the stockroom in an orderly and organized fashion. Assess new chemicals prior use. 3.Ensure that the condition of chemicals is closely monitored and report any color changes observed on chemical solutions used for teaching labs. 4. Follow safety procedures at all times while in the stockroom and handling chemicals. 5. Collect, inventory, and handle hazardous waste generated in teaching and research labs according to all applicable EPA regulations. 5. Coordinates, in conjunction with the Director of the Stockroom, the schedule and duties of stockroom student workers. 6. Assist faculty with their research programs by providing appropriately labeled secondary containers, waste bottles, basic materials and assistance is critical for every faculty member engaged in one-on-one teaching of undergraduates to do research. 7. Must have advanced technology skills and know how to work with database programs. 8. Is responsible for writing the student breakage report at the end of each semester and summer school sessions by the last day of final exams. 8. Teaches two introductory chemistry laboratories in the fall and in the spring semesters.
M. S. in chemistry or in an allied field, or at least 20 years of combined teaching and industrial experience. One year of experience in an academic or industrial stockroom facility. Must have advanced technology skills and know how to work with database program.

Work Schedule/Hours: Flexible schedule, we offer night labs until 9:30PM, some days the schedule will be from 8 AM to 5PM , some days it may be from 2PM to 10PM.
