The Rockefeller University seeks a Guest Room Coordinator to join Housing. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Tenant Services, the Guest Room Reservationist/Coordinator will work to develop a proactive plan for the effective operation of the University's Guest Housing. The Guest Room Reservationist/Coordinator will oversee the operation of Sutton Terrace, Scholars Residence and Faculty House temporary housing. Responsibilities include making reservations, securing payments and processing bills, working with Housekeeping staff and scheduling room preparation for incoming and vacating guests, and communicating with off-site Resident Managers, administrators and faculty on issues such as billing and guest arrivals and departures. Will be responsible for maintaining the reservation database to ensure all guests' data and payments are current and logged for future reference and reporting, generating and following through with work tickets for maintenance, cleaning, furniture moving and refurbishment, developing monthly occupancy and vacancy reports for the Finance Department, managing the Housing cottage lottery, including preparing and maintaining the reservation calendar for the Rockefeller upstate facility, working with the Building Services Manager, Resident Manager and Maintenance to continuously improve and upgrade facilities to provide quality service in all guest rooms, and collaborating with the Assistant Director regarding temporary housing for long term faculty.
Bachelor's degree required. Bilingual candidates with hotel experience preferred. Must have a minimum of five years of business experience. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and computer (Word, Excel, Access) skills necessary. Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have strong customer service skills.
