Create and manage the programming initiatives, strategies, and planning/organizational functions of the Office of Alumni/Parent Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and oversee the comprehensive annual calendar/schedule of events and programs for the office; maintain programming timelines and checklists; supervise work study students for the office.
Lead the electronic communications for Alumni/Parent Program initiatives, including the University's Alumni/Parent webpage, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and iModules solutions.
Assist with all areas of event and program preparation and execution; provide logistical support which includes managing the registration check-in and interacting with alumni and parents at events; assist in the creation and management of online registration forms and event tracking reports.
Manage and oversee the Alumni/Parent Programs budget, which includes creating expense reports, securing purchase orders and preparing monthly budget reports.
Serve as the point of contact for the Office of Alumni/Parent Programs data requests, direct mailings, and email blasts; manage all office resources including department files, office supplies and equipment.
Coordinate Senior Challenge activities and initiatives, working with other university offices and departments to ensure programming and fundraising goals for the Senior Challenge are met.
As a Gift Officer, create annual goals and strategies for identifying and cultivating alumni for giving opportunities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participate in all team meetings.
Perform other duties as required by the Director of Alumni/Parent Programs.
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position in the field of alumni relations and advancement; previous alumni relations experience a plus. Salve Regina University graduate preferred. Must be comfortable communicating with, and marketing to, young alumni. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills required. Must be a highly motivated self-starter. Some travel required, locally, regionally and/or nationally. Ability to work evenings and weekends necessary. Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet required. Must be pliable, dedicated, conscientious and people-oriented, with the ability to work unsupervised. Must have the ability to multitask and set priorities.
