Serves as Information Technology Support and Training Manager. Plays an active role in tech research and acquisition for University Relations. Serves as a systems administrator and trainer. Manages and supports computer-related technology. Provides tech expertise and serves as a liaison with CCIT and related technology vendors. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
45% - Essential - Tech Planning, Research and Acquisition: Conducts IT needs assessments and prepares budget recommendations on an annual basis. Provides advice on purchases of hardware and software; conducts tech research; presents written recommendations to management. Purchases and maintains a complete and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, devices, related accessories and licenses for University Relations. Manages vendor contracts and relationships with 3rd party service providers. Assists with RFPs for strategic IT purchases and/or software services used by University Relations.
30% - Essential - Tech Training and Administration: Establishes technical best practices and conducts end-user training related to marketing technology and supported systems, hardware, software and devices. Administers tech-related systems and assists with user access provisioning. Ensures that the use of systems and devices owned by University Relations conforms to University policies. Communicates regularly with divisional staff about technology and security-related issues.
15% - Essential - Tech Support and Maintenance: Performs hardware and software upgrades to supported systems and devices. Works with CCIT to diagnose and repair systems in response to customer reported incidents. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware and software for supported systems and devices as needed. Provides data on trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
10% - Essential - Professional Development: Stays abreast of industry trends in the information and marketing technology arena. Has passion for information/marketing technology and is driven to continually be innovative, tech-savvy and efficient. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. RESPONSIBILITIES:
