The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for various functions that support the one card system at Brown, including producing IDs for the Brown community, researching Bear Bucks and access issues, approving photos, and assisting with the processing of guests affiliated with the University. In addition to Brown Card responsibilities, the Coordinator assists patrons with obtaining the appropriate type of parking, communicates information about parking and shuttle services to customers, and supports office and field staff with all items related to parking at Brown. As the first point of contact for the office, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for reception duties, timely correspondence, and cash management. The Administrative Coordinator - Transportation and Brown Card Services must be able to correspond in a professional manner in person, on the telephone, and through email correspondence. Successful incumbent must also possess excellent time management and organizational skills in a multiple priority environment.
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to three yearsâ™ office administrative experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations
Demonstrated commitment to customer service with the ability to handle complaints pleasantly and skillfully
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills in a multiple priority environment
Ability to shift focus and prioritize in a pressured environment
Proficient computing skills, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing software. Microsoft Office and G-mail/Google Docs experience preferred.
Working knowledge of card access, identity management, photo imaging and transportation/parking systems preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide first line equipment maintenance/repair on various network terminals, such as ID card printers and Value Port equipment desired
Experience in card production, identity management, and CCure a plus.
In addition, someone who is technologically savvy would be able to assist with troubleshooting various items, help to improve services provided to customers.
