Reporting to the Director of Collections and Research of the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, the Registrar will oversee all registrar tasks with a high level of understanding of museum standards and practices to support the Museum's exhibitions and permanent collection programs. Under limited supervision and exhibiting significant initiative, the position will be responsible for overseeing object registrations, working with lenders and couriers, installation oversight, managing the inventory of incoming collections (including examination of condition, documentary photography, and accessioning), and working with the Museum's teams for exhibitions.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Experience with relational databases (Emu preferred), Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with natural science and ethnographic collections.
Required Licenses Or Certifications: Valid driver license and access to a vehicle.
Bachelor's Degree in Museum Studies or related field and four years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
