Ambulatory Surgery Center, Hospital, Public and Private
The Administrator, Same Day Surgery Center, consisting of four Operating Suites, 13 Multipurpose Rooms which perform approximately 4000 procedures a year, is responsible for the financial and operational management of the surgical center. Works closely with Medical Director to support the vision and achieve the goals of the organization. Responsible for all aspects of nursing care including supervision, staffing, policies/procedures and standards of care. Works with the team to ensure successful accreditation process (JCAHO). The position will have a wide range of access to protected health information (“PHI”) and understands the importance of confidentiality regarding all patient information pursuant to HIPAA policies and procedures.
* Plan, direct, participate in and evaluate the nursing care of patients * Supervise nursing personnel in providing care for patients * Oversee the financial and operational performance of the center * Demonstrate and cultivate strong teambuilding and communication skills * Ensure the Surgery Center is adhering to a strict level of patient compliance and confidentiality. * Assists in enhancing productivity and efficient operation of the department * Develops positive relationships with physicians and medical providers * Evaluates patient care practices and systems, reviews and prepare budgets, reports, and analyses.
•At least five years of recent, progressive experience in a high performing surgical environment •ASC experience preferred •Clinical experience preferred •Demonstrated abilities in clinical operations, efficiency, and compliance. •Demonstrated abilities in nursing practice, nursing leadership, and personnel management. •Demonstrated abilities in strategic planning, growth orientation, and entrepreneurship. •Experience working in a lean environment and thorough understanding of the financial and business aspects of patient services and nursing operations •Prior work in developing positive relationships with physicians and medical providers •High-energy and engaging personality •Strong interest in innovation and progressing the standards of nursing •Exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills •Unassailable integrity and respect for the ethical issues involved in the role •Highly flexible and open to change •Analytical ability to evaluate patient care practices and systems, review and prepare budgets, reports, and analyses. ? •Knowledge of current leadership, management, and quality improvement concepts and the ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies •Excellent oral and written communication skills •Requires in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures and standards to administer activities of the division, develop policies and procedures and assist subordinates. ?
