The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator is responsible for securing participant referrals and developing solid referral pipelines for Aspire’s adult enterprises; welcoming families and intake/scheduling of newly referred adults for individual services; assure that all individuals/families have access to additional resources and support services; coordinate outreach activities and partner with the Development team on marketing opportunities.
Point person for screening all adult enterprise referrals. Assures that inquiries for referrals are responded to within 24 hours.
Work collaboratively with referral sources and internal enterprise contact persons to assure that services are coordinated in a timely manner.
Complete and/or ensure that all pre-intake documentation is complete and inform families about Aspire, Aspire policies and the services available.
Proactively shares timely updates and information to all those who need to know. Routinely keeps sensitive information confidential and actively intervenes when others share sensitive information.
Lead the development/implementation of the annual outreach plan.
Participate in community activities to identify new referrals for services.
Work in collaboration with the development team to market services through the website, ads, publications and other opportunities. Creates, packages, monitors and distributes resource materials for recruitment; analyzes trends in recruitment; develops strategies for program evaluation.
Manages and coordinates community workshops and recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective customers and parents.
Completes all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Completes other duties as assigned
Some local travel is required
Bachelor Degree in social service or related field.
Previous Intake/Admissions experience a plus; experience related to adult ID/D service provision preferred.
Illinois driver's license in good standing; must have personal transportation.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from families, employees, and the general public.
Flexible working schedule to accommodate evening and some weekend activities.
Good knowledge of PC operations and software (word processing, database, and spreadsheets).
Some knowledge of the methods and practices of sound records management; ability to prepare and maintain records.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comply with mandated rules, regulations and policies.
Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with employees at all levels, families, and the general public.
