The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health is seeking a part-time (30 hours per week) Data Entry Operator for the Clinical and Translational Research Informatics Center (CTRIC). Under direct supervision, the Data Entry Operator operates keyboard or other data entry devices to record data onto various electronic storage media. CTRIC is a service center whose purpose is to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries from basic science bench to clinical studies, bedside practice, and community intervention by providing services such as data capture, data management, data analysis, research design, grant writing, quality control and custom databased creation.

Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from various source documents into computer, using an electronic keyboard or optical scanner.
Maintains records of work completed. Prepares routine reports and disseminates these according to established procedures.
Performs related duties such as compiling, sorting and counting data to be entered.
Operates standard office equipment such as personal computer, data entry devices, printers, and photocopiers.
Performs general clerical duties such as typing, filing, and answering phones. Enroll study participants from the available pool. Interview participants in person.
Education : High School Diploma or GED.
Experience : One (1) year in scanning and verifying electronic forms. Teleform experience preferred.
Ability to operate a keyboard or other data entry device.
Other : Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Based on the duties of this position, selected candidates are eligible to participate in the Bargaining Unit (Union).
Salary Range: $21,717 - $23,250
