The Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) School of Architecture (SoA) is looking for individuals with a strong background, or emerging potential, in creative architectural accomplishment that elevates the discipline through research work, scholarly work, artistic work, and/or professional practice.

Our faculty is a team of dedicated educators, creative researchers, exceptional practitioners, and interdisciplinary collaborators. We currently have tenure track openings at the rank of assistant or associate professor. While we welcome all applications, preference will be given to those with experience in teaching, research, scholarship and/or practice that explores public interest design, collaborative processes, design-build methodologies, project/construction management, Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE), equitable development, and value based assessment of design and construction.

This position requires a first professional degree in architecture PLUS a post-professional degree OR commensurate professional practice OR a PhD in related fields. We will give preference to those with architectural registration or evidence of registration being attained prior to the first reappointment.
