The Controller is responsible for oversight of the University's internal and external financial reporting and tax compliance activities. This position will prepare special projects as requested by the Treasurer and senior leadership, establish and implement formal policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet regularly with departments to review key responsibility subject matter. Key responsibilities include: development, implementation, and monitoring financial policies and internal controls to ensure financial statements meet GAAP/GASB standards and compliance with relevant laws/regulations. This position will provide staff leadership, development and mentoring to staff to accomplish unit objectives. The Controller must model and promote excellent customer service for internal and external customers by proactively and regularly initiating positive contact within University Financial Services and across the University community.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Master’s Degree plus 10 years of related experience.
CPA license preferred.
