The MDC is seeking a part-time or full-time audiologist to provide clinical, hearing aid, and cochlear implant services in beautiful Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing evidence based audiology services and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Colorado. Responsibilities include coordination of various clinical activities as well as the performance of direct clinical services. The nonprofit mission of the MDC includes proving education and programs as well as clinical support to our community. Position Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Identify, access, diagnosis, and manage disorders of human hearing including behavioral and objective measures
Counsel patients about hearing health and the possible need for treatment/management
Assess the candidacy of persons with hearing loss for hearing aids and cochlear implants and provide selection, fitting, and programming services
Recommend and provide audiologic rehabilitation to ensure the best possible outcomes
Perform assessment and nonmedical management of tinnitus
Counsel and educate patients and families/caregivers on the psychosocial adjustments of hearing loss
Supervise audiology assistants who provide support functions to the practice of audiology
Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, counseling, and problem solving. Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
State of Colorado Audiology license
3-5 year of experience preferred
Cochlear implant experience preferred
