This position coordinates and implements all scholarship program activities; oversees and manages the Foundation's constituent database for fundraising and alumni; records all philanthropic gifts to the college; and coordinates Foundation events including fund-raisers, friend-raisers, and donor recognition; In partnership with the Executive Director and the Marketing Department, coordinates and evaluates alumni relations activities at the college, and provides professional administrative support to the Executive Director in all development activities of the Foundation office. The applicant (the employee) should demonstrate knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations. Some travel is required.
An associate degree or diploma or equivalent related work experience in fundraising, business, accounting, or office management.
Managerial abilities to provide high-level services, manage programs, and serve multiple constituencies.
Strong computer skills, specifically database management (Access), spreadsheets (Excel), and word processing.
Database or I.T. management skills including attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
Ability to research and analyze a variety of data, select relevant information and integrate data into meaningful reports.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking skills.
Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, and manage one's time and resources to handle multiple projects/activities and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform with minimal direction and to use discretion to make decisions in absence of immediate supervisor.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Must possess a professional and positive approach and a service-oriented attitude.
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.
Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers and student workers.

Ability to work a flexible schedule involving night or weekend hours and travel between campuses, to the metro and/or out of state.
Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related field.
Three+ years related work experience.
Working knowledge of the college's programs, resources, services, procedures, and policies.
Knowledge and experience in fundraising and grant writing.
Experience with database software systems, specifically Raiser's Edge.
Working knowledge and experience with financial accounting processes, procedures and software, specifically Great Plains;
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and applicable tax laws.
Experience with alumni associations within higher education.
