Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $24.47-$33.60/hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Supports and extends the UCSC Genome Browser database and software and interfaces with collaborators and users worldwide. Understands the UCSC Genome Browser software, database, configuration files, and their interrelationships.
Uses professional bioinformatics concepts. Applies computational procedures to resolve a variety of analysis and research issues. Works on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors. Assists in additional analyses as needed to achieve research objectives.
Bachelor's degree in biological science, computational / programming, or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of bioinformatics methods and data structures.
Working knowledge of applications programming and web development.
Experience programming in C and a scripting language in a UNIX or Linux environment.
Working knowledge of databases.
