This position is responsible for communicating the policies and procedures, monitor ongoing activity, direct and recommend actions to correct deficiencies and prepare various reports; provide written and oral guidance, assistance and interpretation to the university administration, coaches, staff and student athletes; represent the university at the MEAC Conference and NCAA meetings concerning institutional compliance; serve as a liaison between the department and faculty representatives regarding academic and eligibility issues; and serve on the Faculty Athletic Advisory Committee to deal with issues relative to the academic welfare of student-athletes.
This role may in certain situations operate independent from the Athletic Director. Therefore the position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Internal Auditor. The Athletic Director cannot take any negative personnel action regarding the Associate Athletic/Compliance Director without first consulting with the Internal Auditor.

Master's degree. At least two years of administrative experience in intercollegiate athletics, preferably at an NCAA Division I level athletics program. A demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues concerning the administration of intercollegiate athletics.
