Greet and assist patients in a large multi-physician ambulatory clinical practice. Verify eligibility, check-in and schedule patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR). Guide patients in accessing various services at Student Health Services. Arrange for physician referrals and schedule procedures and tests. Provide administrative support for medical providers. Mediate patient complaints. Serve as pharmacy cashier and provide customer service for SHS. Process customer prescription and "over-the-counter" purchases on a credit card terminal. Make necessary transaction adjustments, reconcile receipts, and run settlement reports. In consultation with the pharmacist, assist patients with selecting "over-the-counter" pharmacy items. Maintain stock of "over-the-counter" merchandise. Assist in other areas of the clinic as needed.
Customer service experience working as a receptionist in an ambulatory clinical setting.
Experience using computerized patient scheduling systems for information retrieval and data entry; knowledge of medical records management.
Current Basic CPR certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.
Cashiering experience especially the ability to use a computer terminal to complete credit card transactions, run reports, assess patient prescription and service fee information.
Experience providing administrative support for medical providers.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines.
Demonstrated skill in maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.
Knowledge of health information and medical terminology.

Must complete initial mandatory health requirements, and current clear TB test results and flu vaccination. In the absence of immunization records, titer or blood test will be required to determine if other immunizations are needed.
TB screening and flu vaccination are required annually.
Evening and weekend hours as scheduled.
