Job Description:The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences is seeking a Fixed Term or Tenure Track faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to provide Electrophysiology (EP) services, teaching, and clinical research to patients and students at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina Heart Institute, and Vidant Medical Center. The Electrophysiologist will provide inpatient laboratory and outpatient services including EP device therapy, a-fib ablation, complex ablation, and mapping. He/she will be expected to take his place on the faculty call schedule, maintain proper clinical records, maintain high quality surgical outcomes, attend clinics, and teach fellows, residents, and medical students. He/she will work closely with other cardiology and cardiovascular faculty members in the departments of Cardiovascular Sciences, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and our sister teaching institute, Vidant Medical Center. The East Carolina University (ECU) Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with the award-winning Vidant Medical Center, a 902 bed and Level 1 Trauma Center that serves as our flagship teaching hospital.
